In a small wooden house at the edge of a great town live the Bucket family, consist Charlie Bucket, his parents and grandparents. They are very poor. Nearby their house is Willy Wonka's chocolat factory. Charlie's granddad who knows a lot about the chocolate factory, tells regularly stories about the chocolate factory. One day Willy Wonka tells all the people of the world that five children could visit the chocolate factory. They have to find a golden ticket underneath the wrapper of any Willy Wonka chocolat bar in the world.

Charlie really wants a golden ticket, so he hopes he get a golden ticket under the wrapper of his birthday chocolat bar. He pealed of a little corner of the wrapper of his birthday chocolate bar, but there was no golden ticket inside. Charlie was disappointed. Grandpa Joe wants a second chance to find the golden ticket, so he gives Charlie his last money to buy a chocolate bar. They opened it together but there was no golden ticket in there again. A couple of weeks passed when Charlie found some money on the street. He picked it up, he was hungry so he decided to buy some chocolate. When Charlie opened the wrapper there was no golden ticket underneath. Charlie was really hungry so he ate the whole chocolate bar in less than a minute. Charlie was still hungry so he decided to buy another chocolate bar, he opened the wrapper and the last golden ticket was under there! He found the last golden ticket! The four other golden tickets were found by Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt and Mike Teavee.

The next day Charlie and his grandpa Joe went to the chocolat factory, at 10 o'clock the doors of the factory opened and Willy Wonka came outside. He welcomed the children and their parents. They first went to the chocolate room, inside the room is landscape all made of candy, there is also a big chocolat waterfall and river in there. Augustus Gloop wanted to drink some of the chocolate out of the river, but he leaned to much forward, so he fell into the chocolate river. After he fell in the river, there came a big glass pipe to suck chocolate out of the river, but the pipe sucked Augustus as well. Augustus stucked in the pipe because he was to fat, after a few seconds Augustus sucked further in the pipe.

After the chocolate room all the kids, except Augustus, were sailing in the pink candy boat. The stopped at the inventing room. They went in and looked at all of Willy Wonka's crazy, but genius inventions like ice cream that never melts or bubble gum that you can blow as big as you want. They should't touch anything in the inventing room, because it wasn't ready and it could be dangerous. For all of that Violet wanted to try some of the three-course-dinner gum. The first two courses went good, but during the third course, blueberry pie, Violet turned into a blueberry.

The group went further to the nut room where a lot of squirrels pealed nuts. Veruca saw the squirrels and begged her father to buy a squirrel for her. Her father said it wasn't possible to get a squirrel, so Veruca decided to grab one of Willy Wonka's squirrels by herself, but the squirrels jump all on Veruca and pushed her into a trap. Her parents tried to save her but the squirrels also put Veruca’s parents into the trap.

The tour continiued and only Charlie and Mike were left. Mike was tired so they went further with the glass elevator. Mike and Charlie could both press a button, Mike chose the button with ''televison chocolate''. As soon as Mike pushed the button the elevator went really fast to the ''television chocolate room''. In the room is a big camera that can transform real chocolate into chocolate on a television, so you can pick it out of the television and try it. Mike Teavee wanted to be on the television as well. He stood in front of the camera and sent hisself to the television. When he was on the television he was shrunk. His father took him out of the televison.

Now only Charlie was left. Willy Wonka had a surprise for him, he won the chocolate factory and will be the owner as he is old enough. Charlie wanted to tell his parents and grandparents that he won the factory, so Charlie, grandpa Joe and Willy Wonka stepped in the great glass elevator and flew to the house of the family. When Charlie first told that he won the chocolate factory, his family won't believe him. Then Charlie's parents and grandparents stepped in the elevator and they flew back to the factory, where they are going to live.
